The First Permanent Pokémon Theme Park Opens in February 2026

PokéPark Kanto, the world’s first permanent Pokémon theme park, is set to open its doors on February 5, 2026. While previous Pokémon parks and temporary attractions have appeared in the past, this will be the first time fans can experience a full-time Pokémon world in one location. The park will be located inside Yomiuriland Amusement Park in Tokyo, Japan, and will require a special add-on pass for entry.

Guests will enter through the Pokémon Research Lab — the gateway to the park’s two themed zones: Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town. Each area offers an immersive experience, blending the magic of Pokémon with real-world adventure.

Pokémon Forest 🌲

As its name suggests, Pokémon Forest is an expansive area filled with trails, hills, and tunnels designed to replicate natural Pokémon habitats. Visitors can explore the wilderness, spotting life-sized Pokémon statues engaged in playful scenes like battles, teamwork, or relaxation in their native environments.

Sedge Town 🏙️

Sedge Town serves as the park’s lively hub, complete with a Pokémon Center and Poké Mart — ideal for grabbing themed refreshments and exclusive merchandise. The park will also feature exciting attractions such as:

  • Pika Pika Paradise – a thrilling ride featuring over 30 Electric-type Pokémon ⚡
  • Vee Vee Voyage – a magical carousel with carriages pulled by Ponyta and Rapidash 🐎
  • Balloons where visitors can soar alongside Eevee and friends 🎈

While official photos have yet to be revealed, the teaser trailer below offers a glimpse of what visitors can expect when the park opens in 2026:
